The Ghost Lighthouse

The white-stone lighthouse is of pre-Rifts origin, and set on a peninsula into the lake, a particularly unusual place to have a lighthouse, given the lake isn’t particularly rocky or environmentally dangerous. However, those staying over twenty-four hours within its sphere of influence (about 50 miles) will typically find signs (sometimes literal) they are not welcome, and given another twenty-four hours to depart. Overstayers are typically killed quite brutally, though some refugees and the lost or harried have reported falling asleep involuntarily only to wake to find supplies and survival equipment to help get them gone, along with the usual not-welcome signs. Hostile DBs are often killed without presumable warning, as well as CS troops. Given the hypothesized but untested range and proximity to the lake’s nexus (which spawns four short ley lines, one of which forms the Nexustown nexus), Nexustown scholars believe it is inhabited by a territorial but benevolent dragon. Nevertheless, the Clave refers to the source of the signs as ‘the Ghost’.
