Armored APC

The Clave makes use of two slightly different airborne armored personnel carriers (APC), the Zephyr and the Torrent. They are essentially the same vehicles, with extra armor and missile launchers added to the Torrent Heavy APC. Both are VTOL, but the reduced weight on the Zephyr’s airframe has resulted in a ridiculously overpowered craft while making the Torrent seem slightly sluggish.

As the Clave’s equivalent to the 20th century chopper, these APC’s are used in a variety of military support roles. In addition to transporting troops and supplies, some modified for specialized missions such as medical transports, mobile robot/vehicle repair shops.

In addition to whatever equipment is brought onboard by troops being transported, the APCs also carry a basic compliment of supplies, including rations, spare e-clips, energy weapons, first aid kits, etc.

In addition to the models listed below, the Clave has employed other more specialized variants. These include one with enhanced sensors and communications gear for patrolling, scouting, and intel gathering; a gunships with 3 additional turrets and a higher missile payload; and a stealth model for covert insertions.
